American Association of Physicists in Medicine
The AAPM is a scientific and professional organization, founded in 1958, composed of more than 7,500 scientists whose clinical practice is dedicated to ensuring accuracy, safety and quality in the use of radiation in medical procedures such as medical imaging and radiation therapy. AAPM members are generally known as medical physicists and are uniquely positioned across medical specialties due to their responsibility to connect the physician to the patient through the use of radiation-producing technology in both diagnosing and treating people. The responsibility of the medical physicist is to assure that the radiation prescribed in imaging and radiation therapy is delivered accurately and safely.
American Association for Women Radiologists
The AAWR is a professional organization for women radiologists established in 1981 with focus on networking among women in radiology, increasing visibility of women in radiology, representation on the American College of Radiology board, sponsoring of activities that impact women in radiology, and program mentoring to advance careers of women in radiology. Highlights of women's accomplishments in national radiology organizations underline how far women have advanced in the specialty. Future initiatives for the organization center on increasing women's involvement in recruiting and mentoring other women in radiology.
American Association for Physician Leadership
The association is the nation’s largest health care organization for physician leaders. The organization encourages physicians to assume active roles in the leadership of health care organizations by aiding physicians in acquiring leadership and management skills.
Select American Association for Physician Leadership courses are a part of the RLI curriculum, allowing RLI participants to earn both RLI credit(s) and the association's credits. RLI participants can also use the credits they earn from other approved RLI courses toward an advanced business degree with one of the American Association for Physician Leadership's four partner universities or toward the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) certificate.

AHRA represents management at all levels of hospital imaging departments, freestanding imaging centers and group practices.
