ACR’s Radiology Leadership Institute™ Teams with Harvard Business Publishing to Create Customized Leadership Development Program

The American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Radiology Leadership Institute™ (RLI) has partnered with Harvard Business Publishing to develop a customized leadership development program for the RLI. The goal of the program, expected to start in fall 2012, is to equip radiologists with the leadership skills required to successfully navigate the complex business of medicine.

Based on the RLI Common Body of Knowledge™, the program curriculum will include faculty sessions from professors with Harvard Business School and other leading institutions, case discussions moderated by Harvard Business Publishing faculty and eminent radiologists, self-paced activities (including e-learning modules, articles, videos and simulations,) and an application component that allows participants to apply the leadership learning to their real work environment.

During the three-month program, participants will meet weekly in a virtual (online) class. A new topic, selected specifically to address the leadership challenges in radiology, will be covered each month. The program, which will grant RLI credit, will be limited to 50 people per session to ensure maximum engagement.

Over the next several months the RLI Board of Directors and RLI staff will continue to work with Harvard Business Publishing to develop the virtual program curriculum, ensuring that it meets participant needs.
