October 24, 2013
The American College of Radiology’s Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) today announced a partnership with the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst to offer RLI participants another pathway to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
The Isenberg Online MBA is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best online MBA programs in the country. The program’s superior flexibility will allow RLI participants to keep their career and maintain their current lifestyle while advancing it — 23 percent of Isenberg’s Online MBA students are physicians.
“The Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst is excited to partner with the American College of Radiology to offer its RLI participants an MBA degree, providing radiology professionals with the opportunity to confront the management and leadership challenges in the dynamic domain of health care administration,” said John Wells, associate dean for professional programs, UMass Amherst. “Upon graduation, RLI participants will possess the business knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied to meet their professional goals and advance their careers.”
RLI participants will receive a 10 percent discount on all Isenberg MBA online and satellite campus courses. In addition, participants who successfully complete all four levels of the RLI curriculum will be able to waive two Isenberg Online MBA foundation courses (a total of 2 credits). The total tuition for the Online MBA (with the RLI discount) is $27,454. All physicians are waived of the GMAT/GRE.
“To provide the most comprehensive leadership development program, the RLI partners with leading business schools, such as the Isenberg School of Management, to provide pathways for RLI participants to earn an MBA. Many of radiology’s future leaders will benefit from earning an MBA — that’s why I encourage everyone enrolled in the RLI to explore this unique MBA opportunity,” said Cynthia S. Sherry, MD, FACR, medical director of the Radiology Leadership Institute and chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Leadership and Practice Development.
Other programming options are available for RLI participants who want to take classes at any of Isenberg’s satellite campus locations. Tuition is based upon the venue.
