RLI Now Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2015 Leadership Summit

January 20, 2015

Radiology residents and fellows who want to advance their careers with the help of the innovative training the Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) offers can now apply for one of five scholarships to attend the 2015 RLI Leadership Summit. The Summit will be held Aug. 6–9 at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.

The four-day summit, titled Thriving in Changing Times, will include an all-new program to help radiologists learn the skills necessary to understand the new business of health care and how to best adapt and capitalize on these changes. Guided by experts and fueled by facilitators, the summit offers unique opportunities to learn from peers and faculty in an innovative, interactive format.

“It is important that young physicians be given the same opportunity as others to rise above their peers and become better providers and leaders,” said Cynthia S. Sherry, MD, FACR, medical director of the Radiology Leadership Institute and chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Leadership and Practice Development. “That’s why the RLI Leadership Summit Resident and Fellow Scholarship was developed.”

Full scholarships will cover the cost of registration, lodging and travel for recipients to attend the Summit. Anyone interested in applying must be enrolled in the RLI and must be a resident or fellow in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program. Qualified candidates who have already registered for the 2015 Summit are eligible to apply.

The RLI is a program of the American College of Radiology (ACR). Funding for the RLI Leadership Summit Resident and Fellow Scholarship is provided by the ACR Foundation’s RLI Fund.

Complete scholarship applications must be received no later than Feb. 27, 2015, and must be accompanied by a signed letter of recommendation as described in the application.
