November 18, 2015

Reston, VA — Nominations are being accepted for the 2016 Leadership Luminary Award, an annual program of the Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI). This honorary designation is given annually to professionals who possess exceptional experience and have demonstrated an unusually high level of leadership in organized radiology or organized medicine.

“The Leadership Luminary Award celebrates the lifetime achievements of individuals who have devoted their professional careers to the advancement of the science or practice of radiology or radiation oncology,” said Frank J. Lexa, MD, MBA, RLI chief medical officer and chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Leadership and Practice Development. “Please consider nominating those innovators and trailblazers who have met the requirements for this distinguished honor,” he added.

The RLI, the ACR professional development and leadership academy, will recognize award recipients at the 2016 RLI Leadership Summit Sept. 8–11 in Wellesley, MA. Previous honorees of the program, which began in 2012, include Leonard Berlin, MD, FACR; Bruce J. Hillman, MD, FACR; Sarah S. Donaldson, MD, FACR; and James H. Thrall, MD, FACR.
