Introduce radiologists to the most common social media platforms and provide an overview as to how social media 1) influences the conversations people are having, 2) shapes the brand of our profession, and 3) can potentially impact consumer/patient behavior.  The fundamentals for building an online presence and social media authority will also be presented, as well as tips for engaging others and sharing/creating content.

Learning Objectives:
Describe basic fundamentals of the most common social media platforms
Identify how social media is changing consumer behavior
Discuss the concept of social media authority and online brand

• Sign up for at least two of these popular social networks: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

• On LinkedIn, join the Diagnostic Imaging group and see what discussions are in progress.
• On YouTube, visit the Radiology Channel and search for videos by other radiologists.
