This lecture will discuss issues that radiologists are not prepared to face when they leave their training programs. These issues include the fact that a radiology job might not be secure, income might vary considerably, practice-building and service are essential elements of a successful practice, and participation in state and national advocacy might be important for survival.
- Evaluate the stability of a practice and its chances of retaining established hospital contracts
- Describe reasons for uncertain income and discuss how groups meet this challenge
- Discuss the need for integrating into the medical, social, and political aspects of his/her hospital and community
This Level 2 mandatory course will cover competency 3.2.1 in the Legal and Regulatory domain of the RLI Common Body of Knowledge and award 1 RLI credit. This webinar is tailored to residents, however, anyone is welcome to attend.
